Hammered dulcimer artist Marcy Prochaska has completed a new
album of instrumental Christmas music. Recorded at Electric
Wilburland, What Child Is This? features hammered
dulcimer with bowed psaltery, guitar, recorder, and fiddle.
Some of the pieces are familiar, such as "Silent Night" and "O

less well-known, like "The Lord at First Did Adam Make."

A release celebration and concert is scheduled at the Moosewood
for Sunday, November 21, at 6:30pm. With the Hanshaw Trio, Marcy
will present music from the new CD as well as selections from
her debut album, No Loose Threads, and the trio's
mostly Celtic repertoire. Besides Marcy, Hanshaw includes Jerry
Drumheller on fiddle and Craig Higgins on guitar and mandolin.
Their work appears on two of the new CD's medleys, "Easter
Thursday / O Sacred Head Now Wounded," and "Hewlett / Silent
